So you want to be a Carer?

This blog has mentioned wildlife caring in the past but with the advent of the stormy season it’s a good time to raise it afresh.

"wildlife carers" "mission beach" queenslandAs a carer myself who’s looked after wallabies, kangaroos, many, many birds and a not a few reptiles, I know a few of the pitfalls and difficulties of helping our native wildlife and restoring them back to where they belong, as integral members of our community.

Mission Beach needs carers and to become one you must first join an established group to operate under their license. The next step is learning how to look after creatures in trouble and for this you will need experienced help and proper advice.

All of the above is available and should you have the time and interest to become involved and get a head start on a fulfilling pastime, just pick up the phone and call Tanya on 4068 9126 or Adrian on 4068 7531 of Wildlife Care and Rescue.

Same numbers of course apply if you find an injured or orphaned creature.

Look forward to hearing as WE need YOU!
